How Long Are The Workshops?
We currently offer two workshops. Stand-up Comedy 101,
geared for those students who have never performed stand-up before
and Taking Your Stand-up Comedy Seriously, for
those with limited performing experience. Each workshop is
held one night a week for six consecutive weeks. Each session is two
hours long. Both workshops end with a Graduation Showcase in

Who Teaches The Workshops?
Classes are taught by veteran stand-up comedian and longtime
Mission Viejo resident Tom Riehl. Tom has worked with the
likes of Bob Saget, Paula Poundstone, Alonzo Bodden, Shawn Wayans,
and James P. Connolly as well as musical acts Berlin, Three Dog
Night and David Pack of Ambrosia. He was also a winner on ABC’s
“America’s Funniest People” and host of the cooking show
Food Rules. Tom also produces a
monthly comedy show at the
Camino Real Playhouse in San

Is there an age
requirement?
You must be at least 16 years old for either workshop.
Where are the
workshops held?
The current workshops starting September 7 will be held at
the
Norman P.
Murray Community Center,

Are workshops
taught anywhere else?
Workshops are currently being planned throughout other parts
of Orange County. If you have a particular request,
please let us know.
